Reported by Aaron

Hello, I’m Aaron and I will be the Roving Reporter for Monday, March 01, 2010.

The first thing we did this morning was Daily Morning Activities (DMA). One of the first things we went over was cube, sphere, square and circle. For example cube and square match as well as sphere and circle.

Then we went over States and Capitals which is really important information because we are getting ready to finish up State Reports, any information helps. An interesting and funny fact that we learned today was that the state of Kentucky is shaped like a chicken drumstick. That was really funny and made me hungry especially when Mr. Coley called it “Kentucky fried chicken”.

The second thing we did was writing about our Moms. We made a rough draft, and then some students started on the final draft. I had many good ideas while writing on this subject.

Next, we did The Lion, Witch, and the Wardrobe (LWW) story map. The chapter was about Peter’s first battle against a vicious wolf. Also, it was about the children, (without Edmund) Peter, Susan and Lucy plus the Beavers meeting the mighty Aslan.

At last, it was recess. I played football with Ruben’s football. It was an exciting game. I really liked that game because we were winning, and then the famous bell rang.

Then it was time to go back to class. When we got back to class, we took out math and went to certain math teachers. In Mr. Coley’s Math class, which is also my math class, the students were teaming up against Mr. Coley in a math game called “grid search”, similar to Battleship. And Mr. Coley won the game. We played until lunch.

For lunch, I had peanut butter sandwich, crackers, teddy grahams and a caprisun. I also played football at lunch.

When we got back into the classroom, before we knew it, Coley’s 5th grade class was finally over and we packed up our things. I hope everyone has a Great Week!
