Hi, I'm Megan and I'm going to tell you about my classroom day.
In the morning we did DMA to start off. One of the questions was which state capital is north of 40 degrees N latitude? Frankfort, Denver, Salt Lake City, or Columbus? The answer is Salt Lake City. Mr. Coley didn’t put it down, but is was pay day! I had four dollars, and I withheld two pieces of my Coley Cash. Next it was time to pick my job. I was very happy with my CRS agent job.
After that was cleared, it was time for The Sign of the Beaver. In the story Matt, the main character, is alone in the forest. In the chapter Matt's cabin was attacked by a fierce bear who knocked his food, flour, salt. Then I took a comprehension quiz to show what I know.
Next came social studies. I learned that America gained its independence in 1783. You may think it’s 1776, but the fought in the Revolutionary War. Weird right?
After SS, we did a science prep. because of the CST. I got them all right and got a candy from Mr. Coley for the first time.
After recess it was math time. For math I did a review for the MARP test that I was gonna take after review. Then the bell rang and it was time to go.
After lunch it was time to pack up to get ready to go home. I had to get three things signed tonight. My science test on the planets and field trip permission slips. Then the final bell rang and it was time to go home.
