To culminate our study of the 13 original colonies, the students of Room 34 created their own classroom colony and named it Brentsylvania.  In order to create their colony, students had to answer questions like, "Why are we coming to the North America?", "Where are we going to settle?" and "How are we going to make a living once we get there?"  A governor and lieutenant governor were elected, and the class voted on symbols like the colony bird, animal, flower, tree, and flag.
